Myrtle’s Legacy is inspired by the design of an old woven Navajo rug, handcrafted by a Native American woman named Myrtle, who created several of these traditional pieces while living on the reservation. I received a photo of the original rug from her granddaughter, who hoped to recreate the design in quilt form. In honor of the original maker and her artistry, I named the quilt Myrtle’s Legacy as a tribute to her.
 
This quilt features the beautiful Speckles fabric line from Hoffman California, bringing rich texture and vibrant color to a timeless design.
