The design of Myrle's Legacy is based on an old woven Navajo rug. A Native American lady, whose name was Myrtle made several of these traditional rugs while living on the reservation. I got the photo of the rug from her granddaughter who wanted to recreate the design in a quilt and I wanted to give tribute to the maker to name the quilt after her.
 
This design honors craft and culture. Recreate its calm, earthy spirit — or go bold with modern fabrics.
